Let's Pray!

10:2 CHALLENGE

Why do we stop at 10:02 to pray?

These were Jesus’ instructions to his disciples: “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields." Luke 10:2

What does it mean that “the harvest is great”? Jesus often taught in parables, and since agriculture was such a common industry in His time, he regularly used agricultural terms as analogies. When He says, “the harvest is great,” what He means is that there are many people who have not heard the name of Jesus. For everyone to hear His name, more “workers” need to go and share.

Taking the Luke 10:2 Challenge means you’re joining in on what Jesus has called his disciples to do in this passage. Which is asking the Father to send more people to share His Good News.
